Quality Control Technician
Cassidy Manufacturing, a newer and modern CNC machine shop established in 2007 and located in Winnipeg Manitoba. We are a service-oriented metal and cast iron manufacturer, serving customers mainly in the agricultural sector.
We are looking to add a full -time, experienced and energetic Quality Control Technician driven with the desire to succeed on our Evening and Overnight Shift.
The evening shift operates Sunday to Thursday from 3 pm – 11:30 pm while the overnight shift operates Sunday to Thursday from 11 pm – 7:30 am.

Salary Range: $15.30 – -$23.25 per hour plus $1.00 / hour shift premium
Functions of this Role:
- Ensure calibration of all measuring equipment used on the premises.
- Responsible for shop floor quarantine and assist with disposition of non-conforming parts
- Assist with the CMT 1st off, verifications, last and random inspections and conduct on-going inspections during the production runs and record data on documents provided
- Interpret customer blueprints used in the production of parts in the shop traveler
- Conduct outgoing inspections on completed parts before shipping
- Follow and enforce that ISO procedures are met
- Operate a Zeiss CMM

Qualifications
- Must have Quality experience in a metal manufacturing environment
- Experience with the Hexagon Arm using the Inspire Inspection Software and Zeiss CMM V16 Calypso is an asset
- Zeiss CMM programming – basic level. We will provide additional training if needed
- Good proficiency with written and spoken English (required for reading, interpreting, and giving/following English work instructions/documents) and basic math skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to problem solve, provide solutions
- High-school/secondary school education or equivalent is an asset
- Experience with ISO 9001-2015 quality requirements
- Experience in a quality control position
- Proficient with measuring tools (micrometers, vernier calipers, bore mics, etc)
- Ability to stand and do repetitive work for long periods
- Ability to lift and move up to 25-50 pounds
- Strong and reliable regular attendance
- Team player, works well with others, work for team goals.
- Access to reliable transportation to our shop (we are not located on a local transit route)

CNC Machine Operator
We are GROWING and looking to expand all our shift teams! If you are a CNC Machine Operator looking for full time, permanent work for an organization that values its people then this is your opportunity!
Please note we are not located on a local transit route, access to reliable transportation is required.
Interested candidates should have proven 1-5 years of recent working experience operating a variety of CNC Machines in a Metal Manufacturing environment such as Haas or Doosan, while using Fanuc controls and be familiar with measuring equipment.
Salary Range: $16.32-$23.25 per hour plus $1.00 / hour shift premium
CNC Operator Requirement & Skills:
- Operate vertical mill & vertical mills with a rotary axis
- Operate horizontal mills
- Operate 2 and 3 axis lathes
- Familiar with Fanuc style controls
- Ability to read interpret engineering drawings & blueprints
- Complete regular quality checks using calipers, micrometers, bore micrometers, height gauges, go/no go plug and thread gauges to ensure dimensional accuracy of parts
- Ability to adjust tool offsets to ensure dimensional accuracy of parts.
- Ability to follow instruction and work independently and in a team environment
- Computer literate, use Windows 10 workstation and Microsoft Excel (for data entry)
- Observe machine settings and detect any problems in an operation
- Adjust machines to maintain tolerance of parts
- Complete basic editing of a program
- Make tool changes when required
- De-burr and/or assemble parts when required
- Reliable and daily attendance
Qualifications
- Current and Proven Experience working as a CNC operator in a metal manufacturing environment
- Current and Proven Experience operating CNC mills or lathes in a metal manufacturing environment
- Proven Experience working with micrometers, calipers and gauges.
- Ability to read blueprints and drawings
- Good proficiency with written and spoken English (required for reading, interpreting, and giving/following English work instructions/documents)
- High-school/secondary school education or equivalent is an asset
